Description
Feuille d'Eau means "waterleaf" and refers to the name given to the shape of this vase at the Sèvres factory. In English, waterleaf is the common name for a plant with bell-shaped flowers. The term is also applied to a stylized plant motif used in Graeco-Roman ornament. This vase was exhibited by the Sèvres firm at the International Exhibition held in London in 1862.- {{cite web|title=Vase, Feuille d'Eau (lid)|url=false|author=Sèvres Porcelain Factory, Paul Marie Roussel, Emile Renard|year=1858–1862|access-date=18 April 2024|publisher=Cleveland Museum of Art}}
