This work was part of a project that drew inspiration from poetry.

Description

In 1961, the Poetry Society of America, in cooperation with Steuben, invited a number of American poets to submit new poems from which Steuben glass designers might derive themes for designs in crystal. This work was inspired by a poem by Marianne Moore, "To a Giraffe." Made by Steuben, the glass design was by Lloyd Atkins, and the engraving design by Frank Eliscu.
