A horizontally oriented lithograph in black ink depicts a large steam shovel. Angled from our left, the machine features dark treads and a tall smokestack emitting white plumes. A diagonal crane arm extends right, where a large bucket empties material into a truck. Bold black shadows and bright highlights define the mechanical shapes. A small figure appears in the cab, while buildings are faintly outlined in the background.
