A vertically oriented photogravure in warm sepia tones depicts an older woman with a medium-dark skin tone from the shoulders up, facing us. Her face is marked by deep wrinkles, with dark eyes looking forward and lips set in a horizontal line. She wears a dark headwrap over thin grey hair and a light-colored garment. Block letters at the bottom read "A SERRANO WOMAN OF TEJON."
