A horizontally oriented carbon print in muted sepia tones creates a soft, hazy scene of a harbor crowded with wooden sailing vessels. Large ships with complex rigging flank the foreground, their dark hulls reflecting in the still water. In the center, smaller boats drift near a hillside town rising toward a stone abbey with a central tower. Atmospheric light washes over the entire scene, casting the buildings and ships in deep brown and tan hues.
