A nearly square lithograph on off-white paper depicts a monochromatic landscape of rolling hills in shades of gray and black. In the lower half, tiered ridges curve upward. Rounded mounds with deep shadows fill the middle ground. In the upper third, dark, jagged peaks rise beneath a horizontal band of light. Pencil inscriptions mark the lower margin. Grainy textures and strong contrasts define the undulating forms.
