Description
A New Yorker, Wald often vacationed in the country. Her observations of plants, animals, and the changing weather were reflected in her art, which is dominated by themes of growth and transformation. To evoke the disorder of natural chance, she devised means to print screenprints with thick areas of ink, adding texture to what is usually a flat surface.- From Rembrandt to Rauschenberg: Recently Acquired Prints.
