Description

Krenek was an artist and designer who worked in a variety of media. He created graphic and fabric designs for the renowned Weiner Werkstatte, a collaborative of artists in Vienna. The ideals of the Wiener Werkstatte were similar to those of William Morris: elevate the aesthetic qualities of everyday objects to those of the fine arts. Four Seasons exemplifies the love of repeated organic patterns and stylized forms found in so much of the art at the time.
