Description

Although Czech, Kupka worked primarily in France. Motivated by Wassily Kandinsky's daring abstract works of 1910, Kupka began to evolve his own form of non-objective art. Four Stories in Black and White demonstrates his style, which incorporates both lyrical curvilinear forms and strong architectonic geometrical elements.
