Description

As its name suggests, Environmental Ceramics, Inc., was a firm in tune with the major social issues of the 1960s. This interest was reflected in products that tended to take the form of "natural" objects, including birds and fish. Its egg tureen—available in both white and brown and in a smaller, sauce tureen size—was one of the firm’s most important designs. Grand in size and simplicity, this tureen is a striking product of the earth-centered culture of 1960s San Francisco.
