Description
This simple line drawing was Hewit’s first idea for Rocky River, a scene from a Cleveland suburb. She elaborated upon the landscape in a drawing executed in lithographic crayon in another sketchbook, but she continued to make changes when she drew on the lithographic stone.- Midwest Modern: The Color Woodcuts of Mabel Hewit.
