A vertically oriented parchment page features two columns of black Gothic script and musical notation. On the left, square black notes sit on four-line red staves alternating with rows of text. The right column begins with music and red script, followed by a large, decorative red initial 'E' and dense black lettering. Fine, scrolling ink flourishes decorate the central vertical margin. The warm cream parchment shows visible texture.
