Description
A photographer who produced experimental images that related to both modernism and Surrealism, Parry also had a commercial studio. He produced this image for a promotional campaign for André Maurois’s science fiction tale The Weigher of Souls (Le Peseur d’ames), in which a doctor’s experiments to find immortality reveal that life force is a gas that escapes the body at death.
