A horizontally oriented sepia-toned photograph depicts a bird's nest with five eggs clustered together against a background of dried vegetation. Small, light-colored eggs with dark speckles rest inside the cup-shaped nest woven from fine grasses. Withered leaves and long, spindly blades of grass crisscross the composition to create dense textures. Warm shades of tan and brown unify the monochromatic scene.
