Description
Social interactions both personal and public were a primary subject for Lartigue’s camera. On the left is Reneé Perle, a Romanian fashion model who was his companion and muse in 1930–32. Stylishly dressed in the latest Parisian fashions, Perle is pictured in the Bois de Boulogne, a Paris park that was a favorite spot for promenades by the Parisian upper class and contained, among other attractions, a race track and elegant café.- December 21, 2000(Étude Tajan, Paris, Dec. 21, 2000, no. 6, sold to David Raymond)2001-2007David Raymond [b.1979], New York, NY2007-The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, OH
