Description
A self-taught photographer, Chamlee uses large-format black-and-white photography to document the landscape. "The act of photographing intensifies my seeing and sense of being in the world," Chamlee said. "It is always a very personal and intense moment of contact." In her image of the San Rafael Valley, warm sunlight enlivens the area’s distinctive topography, creating highly compelling contrasts of light and shadow.- From the artist.
