Description
This rectangular vessel by the artist Kiyomi Iwata has an ethereal quality with brilliant gold leaf applied on translucent silk organza. The materials of Iwata’s sculptures relate to the kimono, a traditional Japanese garment from her country of origin. The copper wire she sometimes incorporates is a reference to American technology in her adopted home of the United States.- Contemporary Textile Rotation - October 2025.
