A double snuff box features two joined, rounded compartments made of translucent reddish-orange agate stone. Polished gold bands with vertical wavy patterns frame each panel. On top, two hinged lids are present; one remains closed while the other is propped open, revealing a hollow interior. Ridged gold borders trim the top and bottom of the box, while vertical gold columns separate the curved side panels.
