Description
In the Czech Republic, studio glass artisans have become widely know for creating work through casting glass rather than blowing it. Using this method, Libensky and Brychtova created large, solid monochrome sculptures, manipulating texture and the density of color as the glass goes from thicker to thinner sections within their forms. Husband and wife, these artists were also educatos, and their influence has defined the Czech style of glass casting.- Estate of Helen and David Kangesser
