(French, 1824–1898)
Sheet: 23.7 x 30.5 cm (9 5/16 x 12 in.)

Description

In this surprising drawing, a nude figure abandons her role as model in favor of drawing. The passive nude has become active; she turns away from the viewer, absorbed in her own artistic pursuit.
