Description

Lobe is internationally known for his hammered aluminum sculptures of rocks and trees that are at once faithful representations of nature and works of striking abstract beauty. Concurrently, he has photographed his natural subject matter both for documentary purposes and as independent works of art, as in the case of this carefully chosen slice of a wild hillside landscape. The scene is dense with trees, rock outcroppings, and undergrowth, all enlivened by the play of light and shade.
