Matilda Mola

Matilda Mola

after 1978
Location: not on view

Description

This mola reinterprets the film poster for Matilda, a 1978 movie about a boxing kangaroo. All the key elements are present, from the star marsupial to her four supporting actors and even the laces on one of her gloves. On the reverse, Siabibi may refer to a local tour company run by outsiders. The relationship between the front and back panels remains a mystery.
