Description

Bonebrake’s delightful personality and knowledge of printmaking led to friendships with many dealers. The Connoisseur was a present from Pamela Hatay Stratton, whose business specialized in the type of American and European prints of the 19th and early 20th century that Bonebrake adored. Many of his acquisitions were traditional small, black-and-white prints meant to be held and scrutinized. Carefully studying printed images is a favorite pastime of a connoisseur.
