Description
This desk and chair were made using a process of carving stacked wood that could be cantilevered for strength, allowing the creation of exaggerated forms. A leading figure in the American studio craft movement, Wendell Castle uses biomorphic forms when creating functional pieces.- Commissioned by Dr. Marvin Feldstein in 1979; thence to his wife, Susan Hanna in 2014.
