A horizontally oriented lithograph with fine hatching depicts a forest clearing. Two large trunks frame the foreground on the left, while another thick trunk rises on the right. Bright light from the background casts long, dark shadows diagonally across the pale ground toward the bottom left. Scattered boulders and smaller trees populate the distance. Dense, scribbled strokes suggest the forest's foliage, while vertical lines add texture to the bark.
