A horizontally oriented black-and-white photograph depicts a rugged landscape beneath a heavy black horizontal band. In the lower right, a wide road curves into dark, rocky hills where thin power lines cobweb across the frame. A piercing white light erupts from behind central mountain peaks, casting a brilliant radiance that bleeds into the sky, creating stark contrast against the deep blackness covering the top half of the composition.
