Cleveland-based artist Carl Gaertner traveled to New York City to exhibit his work, and on some of these occasions he made side trips up the Hudson River. Bend at Storm King depicts the area around Storm King Mountain, located on the west bank of the river near Cornwall-on-Hudson. This scenic area has attracted artists since the early 1800s.- The May Show: 32nd Annual Exhibition of Works by Cleveland Artists and Craftsmen.
