Description

Mount Ballyhoo, a modest peak on the Alaskan island of Amaknak in the Aleutians, is seen here dwarfed by a cloud moving in from the composition’s left edge. The detail visible on the hillside contrasts with the vaporous cloud that despite its porous nature, is powerful enough to obscure the mountain.
