Did You Know?

This photograph is based on the painting Two Children Eating Grapes and a Melon, 1645-46, by Esteban Murillo.

Description

Instead of two male urchins in rags surrounded by glistening fruit, Carne presents a girl and boy sitting amid bloody hunks of raw meat. The rear legs and tail of an armadillo stick out of a basket in the left foreground. Stolkiner, known as RES, has remarked that in Argentina, one eats meat, not fruit.
