  • The display case for this object requires desiccant to maintain a stable humidity of 40% RH and scavengers to adsorb gaseous pollutants. The archaeological silver has been polished in the past and remains potentially reactive to atmospheric pollutants. This object has received a reversible, clear coating of Agateen lacquer #27 (cellulose nitrate) to help reduce the possibility of corrosion.
