León Ferrari created this print with a photo-based printing process used for making blueprints.Description
This print belongs to a series that Argentinian artist León Ferrari made while living in exile in Brazil after a military dictatorship took hold in his native country. He presented aspects of São Paulo’s layout from an aerial perspective—here, figures walk within areas of squares and stripes. Ferrari folded the prints and mailed them to friends throughout the world while separated from his homeland.- 1982-2013Studio of the artist2013-2019Estate of the artist, given to the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, OH through Sicardi Ayers Bacino, Houston, TX2019-Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, OH
