On one side of this porcelain box is an ibis (a waterfowl) strolling under a lotus leaf that catches on the bird’s back. On the other side of the box, another ibis is viewed from behind with its legs spread wide for stability. The twisting, contorted bird cleans its back feathers.- ?–2007(Joan B.
