Did You Know?

This image started as a straightforward photograph of an area of wildflowers; it was transformed later in the studio using Photoshop.

Description

In the Wildflowers series, “I digitally remove any part of the image that’s not in direct sunlight, then fill it in with pretty, decorative colors,” says the artist. Doing this transforms the initial realistic renderings into imaginative creations. The bold use of artifice suggests the gap between the physical world and our always subjective interaction with it.
