Essentially self-taught in design, Schiaparelli was one of the most important Parisian fashion designers between the World Wars.

Description

She met Ilse Bing in through mutual friends in 1933 and hired her to photograph her creations. Both strongminded, successful women, they also shared affinities for Surrealism and fantasy.
