Wyoming ranked eighth nationally in crude oil production in 2019.Description
While visiting Wyoming, Lucas Foglia photographed a gas station instead of Yellowstone or Grand Teton National Park. Without the national highway system, cars, and the oil fields, refineries and gas stations that enable the cars to run, those scenic wonders would be inaccessible to most people. Even in this scene of commerce, we treasure the glimpse of a hillside.- 2020Lucas Foglia (the artist) [1983-], San Francisco, CADecember 7, 2020The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, OH
