For two months in 2020, the faces of Black citizens killed by police were projected on a monument to Confederate general Robert E. Lee.

Description

Twenty-six-year-old Breonna Taylor was one of the Black victims of police violence whose faces Richmond artists Dustin Klein and Alex Criqui projected onto a monument to General Robert E. Lee, commander of the Confederate States Army. Taylor, a medical worker, was fatally shot by police during a botched raid on her Louisville apartment in March 2020.
