This simple but elegant abstracted landscape was shot in Jutland, Denmark.Description
Toni Schneiders was part of the Subjective Photography movement in Germany. While its members produced straight photographs that depicted the external world, their goal was to create images that elicited subjective interpretation and emphasized emotional and intellectual reactions over factual information. “If I succeed in making visible only a little of the magic of light and a touch of poetry in my pictures, this is luck enough for me,” said Schneiders.- Toni Schneiders (the artist) [1920-2006]November 30, 2006(Grisebach GmbH, Photographie, Berlin, Germany), sold to Evan Mirapaul, Pittsburgh, PA2006–21Evan Mirapaul, Pittsburgh, PA, given to The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, OHDecember 6, 2021-The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, OH
