A square enamel on copper plaque depicts dozens of white, pebble-like ovals scattered across a dark, mottled background. Clustered densely toward the upper right, the forms thin into a field of deep red and brownish-gray. Many ovals feature thin dark outlines and speckled interiors, suggesting cellular structures or stones submerged in silt. A solid dark gray void in the upper left balances the organic, textured chaos of the remaining surface.
