Did You Know?
Some photographers purposely blur their shots.Description
This scene of a middle-aged woman posing beneath an umbrella like a bathing beauty from the 1920s in a large backyard could be bucolic. However, it takes on an eerie feel thanks to the blur and the odd highlights caused by the photographer’s use of flash. “The image I seek is of youth betrayed by age,” said Noggle, “of spirit so strong but fragile with time.”- ?-2022Cal Kowal [1944-], Alexandria, KY, given to The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, OHDecember 5, 2022-The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, OH
