A gold pendant features a shield-shaped base at the center of which sits a carved lapis lazuli snail. The snail has a spiraled shell and two slender gold stalks. A polished gold sunburst with sharp points radiates from behind the blue figure, set against a densely textured surface of gold granules. Above the shield, curved gold scrolls and small beads connect to a textured bail, highlighting the deep blue, gold-flecked stone.
