Description

Andrea Modica uses an 8 x 10 in. view camera to produce portraits of people in their environments. The camera’s technical requirements slow down the shooting process and necessitate the development of a relationship between sitter and photographer. In this sweet celebration of nature and the discoveries of youth, Modica shows a young girl spreading out her luxurious hair in the sunlight.
