Did You Know?

Lunar eclipses occur two to three times a year.

Description

A lunar eclipse happens when there is a full moon, and the earth is positioned precisely between the moon and the sun. The earth’s shadow falls on the moon, temporarily obscuring it from view. Having seen many lunar eclipses, Bosworth knew that during some lunar eclipses, the sky glows orange yellow. She was able to capture that moment in this photograph.
