Did You Know?

George Tice was a master at revealing interest and beauty in mundane aspects of the landscape and built environment.

Description

The twelve images in his Trees portfolio are more like portraits than landscapes: they evoke the individuality and majesty of each plant. The depictions are graphic, with the complex intertwining in space of branches and twigs contrasting with the flatness of the paper and the simplicity of the black-and-white tones.
