Tiara L. Paris

The Margaret and Loyal Wilson Chief Exhibition, Design, and Publications Officer

Tiara L. Paris oversees the Cleveland Museum of Art’s extensive exhibition, publication, and design programs, working in close collaboration with the museum’s leadership team. 

Starting her museum career at the CMA over two decades ago, Paris returns to Cleveland with a track record of success in the development and execution of multiyear exhibition programs, budget oversight, design, and publications. 

Before rejoining the CMA, Paris served as head of exhibition planning at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri, where she oversaw a comprehensive exhibition program and strengthened cross-departmental collaboration. Previously, she was director of exhibitions at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she implemented the museum’s first comprehensive exhibition-planning structure and served for more than 12 years.

Paris earned an MA in art history and museum studies from Case Western Reserve University and a BA from the University of Northern Colorado. She is an active member of exhibition planning professional organizations that foster institutional partnerships and promote best practices in exhibition management.
