Description

Heinrich Füger, known as the "Cosway of Vienna," was born in Germany and studied in Italy and Vienna, where he became a court painter to the imperial family. Like Cosway, Füger drew his clientele from aristocratic circles. However Füger was less flamboyant than Cosway, capable of capturing the sitter's individual character and personality.
