Horizontally long handscroll in black ink with Chinese calligraphy and red stamps (see "Inscriptions") flanking a scene in loose ink strokes depicting a pavilion in a clearing, trees with dabs and streaks for leaves surrounding. Two loosely outlined people sit in the pavilion. Two more stand, holding sticks, to the left. The text flanking this appears in several columns on our left, and in a row of four characters spanning the paper on our right.
