Ixtle is a stiff plant fiber harvested from species of the agave and Yucca cactus.

Description

In the late 1960s, Ward began developing three-dimensional sculptural forms using textile materials and her own unique stitching techniques and methods of manipulating fibers. These forms maintain their three-dimensional shape through the use of a coating of Polyvinyl Acetate.
