A horizontally oriented etching in black ink depicts a marine scene. In the lower two-thirds, fine, rhythmic lines create textured, swirling water. A boat with dense hatching heads toward the foreground on the left, while a larger ship occupies the center. Above a flat horizon line, large, rounded clouds are rendered with delicate, curved outlines. Smaller vessels dot the background right, with cross-hatching and varying line weights defining shapes throughout.
