A vertically oriented etching and drypoint in black ink on cream paper depicts a man with light skin, curly hair, and a mustache from the waist up. Wearing a soft cap, he gazes forward while cradling a cello between his legs. Dense hatching fills the background to our left, while the lower figure is rendered with loose, gestural strokes. The composition focuses on his direct gaze and the instrument's diagonal neck.
