A vertically oriented lithograph on off-white paper depicts a seated woman and child in loose, sketchy lines. The woman wears a soft cap and draped clothing, gazing down at the mostly nude child in her lap. The child faces right, reaching toward her. Both characters have light skin tones. Faint strokes suggest furniture in the background. A small butterfly-shaped signature is visible in the bottom right and upper left areas.
